Applying for scholarships can be a lot of hard work. But at Loyola, we've made things easier.
Scholarship funds are awarded based on academic achievement, talent, or other qualities. Any funds awarded from organizations other than Loyola University Chicago are typically referred to as "outside scholarships." Scholarships usually do not need to be repaid.
You are automatically considered for Loyola-based merit scholarships as soon as you submit your admission application. No additional paperwork is required. These scholarships are awarded to academically qualified students based on information provided in the admission application process, without regard to financial need. Scholarship amounts range from $13,000 to $20,000 per year.
Loyola maintains a list of outside scholarship resources, but students should also take the initiative to search for outside scholarships on their own. Because freshmen should be admitted no later than February 1 for scholarship consideration, the completed online application should be submitted to the Undergraduate Admission Office by January 15.
