Your Next Steps

The financial aid process is an important part of paying for college. Merit awards, scholarships, grants, and loans—all of these are significant components of the financial aid tapestry.

To access these funds, complete these initial steps:

  • Apply online. Your application for admission is also your application for Loyola's merit-based scholarships, so make sure that you apply as soon as the online application is available.
  • Begin your scholarship search in the fall of your senior year in high school. Besides Loyola's merit-based awards, you should also look into outside scholarships. You'll probably also want to investigate some outside scholarship search resources.
  • Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA). Beginning January 1, you can fill out your FAFSA. Completing the FAFSA will help you access federal and state grants and loans.
