Notes about transfer credit:

• Loyola University Chicago's academic calendar operates on a 15-week semester system. Credit is awarded in semester hours. Students must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours in order to graduate with a bachelors degree.
• Students must either take their final, uninterrupted 45 hours of instruction or a minimum of 64 hours in residence at Loyola University Chicago to earn their bachelors degree.
• Loyola will award credit for college-level courses taken at other regionally accredited 2-year institutions or baccalaureate granting institutions. Any college credit taken outside Loyola will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
• Transfer students can bring in a maximum of 64 credits from two-year colleges.
• Trade school, job training, military experience, continuing education courses typically do not transfer. Developmental courses (below 100-level) will also not be accepted for transfer credit.
• Only courses with a grade of “C- “ or higher will be considered for transfer credit. Entering freshman with transfer credit must have a grade of "B" or higher in each course.
• Students must submit official copies of their AP/IB test results directly to Loyola in order to be considered for credit.
