Loyola undergraduates may earn credit and/or advancement placement for college-level studies completed through the Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), and the International Baccalaureate (IB) examination. All AP and IB examinations must be completed before enrollment as a degree candidate.

New, first-time freshmen may receive up to 36 hours of credit by examination based on AP/IB/CLEP test results. If students also have additional transfer credit, the total of test score credit and transferable credit cannot exceed 36 semester hours. Get more information about the transfer credit policy for new, first-time freshmen.
