Center for Tutoring & Academic Excellence

Clause for Syllabi

The Center for Tutoring and Academic Excellence offers FREE tutoring services to all LUC students! Our tutoring model includes small group tutoring, one-on-one tutoring, and supplemental instruction (SI). Small groups meet once per week throughout the semester and are led by a trained peer tutor who has successfully completed study in the course material.  Students are placed into a group with students from the same course section. One-on-one tutoring begins the third week of classes, and students can sign up via Tutortrac to see when tutors are available to meet. SI places a peer tutor in lectures courses so tutors can hold weekly drop in SI sessions covering lecture material in real time with regular feedback from the course instructor.

To request small group tutoring, please visit Tutortrac (tutortrac.luc.edu) or drop by the CTAE, open M-F 9am-7pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm. We are located in the Sullivan Center, Room 245.  To learn more about our services or to view our current study hall and SI schedules, visit us online at: luc.edu/tutoring.
