Bret Lewis, PhD
Bret Lewis earned his PhD (2011) and MA (2001) in Religious Studies from Arizona State and his BA (1996) from the University of Notre Dame. His research interests include world religions, comparative religion, religion and higher education, and religion and conflict. He has written articles based on quantitative research of the educational impact of world religions courses in the United States and, as a Luce Foundation fellow, conducted field research on the teaching of religious studies in Java, Indonesia. Before coming to Loyola, he taught for six years at Arizona State University.
