Each year Loyola participate in EarthHour by dimming unnecessary lights and reflecting on our actions that impact our energy footprint.
Earth Hour is a global activity with over events taking place in over 170 countries. At Loyola, the campus community unites in the collective work for everyone to be mindful of energy consumption.
- Students gather on the shores of Lake Michigan to observe the dimming of campus lights
- Students hold candle-light gatherings on outdoor campus locations
- Reducing the energy load in the residence halls, students and RAs take the time to gather and discuss climate change and energy topics
