At Loyola, all students, faculty, and staff are eligible to ride the inter-campus shuttle. The shuttle operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., during the academic year when school is in session. On average, 3,000 riders use this mode of transportation on any given day.
Loyola's Biodiesel Program powers these shuttle busses between the Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses.
The 8-RIDE service is the University’s safe-ride program. 8-RIDE is responsible for getting students, faculty, and staff who live within a 1.5-mile radius of the Lake Shore Campus to their homes, both quickly and safely. The University runs four to six vans on any given night, providing an average of 325 rides per night. The hours of operation when school is in session are Monday through Sunday starting at 6:30 p.m and the last call is taken at 2:15 a.m.
