Career Information

Environmental Science and Environmental Studies majors use their knowledge to identify problems and find solution to problems that affect the environment and the population. Careers vary widely. Some examples are: environmental engineer, public health specialist, public policy specialist, technician, geoscientist, epidemiologist, environmental protection specialist, lawyer, professor, environmental chemist, materials scientist, microbiologist, researcher, hydrologist, health and safety specialist, marine biologist, sustainable farmer, forest ranger, restoration ecologist. You may work in an office, or a lab, or in the field for a local, state or federal governmental agency, a manufacturer, a corporation, a university, a non-profit.
