Summer Scholars

Six-week Academy

The Six-week Academy offers students an introduction to discipline-based thinking and research methodologies as they enroll into courses alongside current Loyola students. Courses offered within the Academy program are at the cutting-edge of theory, thought, and technology.

As Academy students, you will be asked to take responsibility for you own learning by choosing to enroll in up to two (2) courses at the 100 & 200 level. For more information on each class, please click on the title link to be re-directed to the course descriptions.

Depending on enrollment, students may earn up to eight (8) hours of transferable credit in one summer!

The Six-week Academy runs June 29–August 7.

LSC stands for Lake Shore Campus, Loyola’s main residential campus, is located in the Rogers Park neighborhood on Chicago’s North Side, minutes from downtown Chicago and Loyola's Water Tower Campus. Its setting along the shores of Lake Michigan helps make Loyola one of the most picturesque universities in Chicago.

WTC stands for Water Tower Campus, Loyola’s downtown campus since 1946, is located along Pearson Street, just off North Michigan Avenue, Chicago’s famed “Magnificent Mile.”
