Study Abroad Photo Contest
This contest is open to all students who studied abroad on non-Rome Center programs during the 2008-2009 academic year and in summer of 2009. If you studied abroad on a year-long, semester or summer program, you are eligible to submit entries.
Prizes will be offered in the following categories:
- Best Scenery: Possible ideas include landscape, cityscape, natural environment. $50 (1st prize
- Best Student Photo: This should include a student or group of students in any experiential setting. $50 (1st prize)
- Best Academic Photo: Possible ideas include campus shots, classes, students studying. $50 (1st prize)
- Best Cultural Contrast: Anything that showcases unique aspects of a culture or country. Possible ideas are unlimited! Use your imagination! $50 (1st prize).
Each student may submit up to 4 photos (one in each category). Both digital and print entries are acceptable. Please make sure to indicate the category for which you are entering each photo as well as your name, when you studied abroad and where each photo was taken. The deadline for submitting entries will be in September.
Photos entered in the contest become property of the Office for International Programs (OIP). Print photos will not be returned unless the student requests otherwise. By submitting entries to this contest, you thereby grant permission to International Programs to use your submissions in LUC study abroad publications (including handouts and the study abroad Website).
Winners will be announced at the Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday, September 9th, 2009.
- Submit entries by Friday, September 4th.
- Print photos can be given to an OIP front desk staff member in the Sullivan Center, 2nd Floor. Please put photos in an envelope with your name and program attended on it.
- Digital photos can be sent to Kelly Heath at: kheath2@luc.edu.
