Voting While AbRoad
The Office for International Programs has put together the following resources so that you don’t miss the chance to vote in the upcoming presidential election this November. When voting while overseas there are a few different steps involved than in the normal voting process, therefore, we have provided some information below that we hope you will find helpful.
A Step-by-Step Guide to Voting While Abroad
This link is a guide that explains how to make sure you are registered to vote in your state and how to request an absentee ballot. This is a resource you might want to use if you are currently in the US but will be going abroad during the fall semester.

The above link will take you to the Federal Post Card Application. This is something that you might want to use if you are already abroad or plan to register to vote from abroad.
Some Additional Tips:

Be careful when entering your social security number into non-government sponsored sites. Only enter this information if you feel it is a secure and reputable site.

Check the web site of the US embassy or consulate in your study abroad destination as they may offer some voter services for Americans. Visit http://www.usembassy.gov/ .
