As the Interim Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students, I am excited, honored, and blessed to have this opportunity to work with an amazing team faculty and staff educators as we collectively support a transformative student experience.
It is through the creation of signature programs and the enhancements to campus events and traditions that together, students, their faculty and staff mentors, and administrators will begin to identify key experiences and continue telling the Loyola Student Experience. At the same time, it is not just about the programs, services and opportunities. The residence and dining halls, athletic and recreational complexes, fields, lounges, offices, and all of the places where students learn, grow and develop (both on and off campus) is paramount. The Norville Center, the Gentile Arena, the new student center, the renovation of HALAS, the new Centennial Forum, and the further development of the residential village will assist us all in articulating the story of the Loyola Experience. All of these facilities are highlights for the entire community.
Indeed, the entire University community should be proud of the great work done to promote an engaging campus life. It is my intention and goal that the Loyola Student Experience will be of the highest quality in the nation, diverse in offerings and experience, full with expectations and promise, but also development and purpose. It is this integrated and transformative Jesuit education that will serve our students best! I want to share my congratulations on what has been an amazing year for Loyola. I pray that God will bless our collective vision for what can be and what is possible.
