What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
The people! I have been extremely fortunate to work with and for some amazing people over the years (and currently). There are so many brilliant people here that I cannot help but learn and grow each and every day I come into work. Also, the opportunities that Loyola has afforded me to meet people beyond our campuses have been extremely valuable.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
One of the things I am most proud of is not necessarily an individual achievement, but rather one of a collaborative team effort. While working in Accounts Payable, we implemented a technology that really made a difference in our ability to provide service to our customers. We all worked closely with members of ITS and Financial Systems to help develop and implement this technology. Every member of the team provided valuable input and effort into our project. This all culminated in the team being recognized by University Business Magazine as the Spring 2013 recipient of the Models of Efficiency Award. This speaks volumes to what you can accomplish when working with some pretty amazing people.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
The mission means everything to me. It is so easy to get lost in the work that we do to lose sight of how we impact the student experience. The mission keeps me grounded and reminds me of why I am here and do what I do.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Just trying to make a difference and learn as much as possible along the way. I am not one for complacency so I want to be sure that I stay challenged and through education and opportunity, use what I learn to continue a forward progress.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
Beyond the typical hoody and other swag, I try to be as vocal as possible to spread the word on what Loyola has to offer (both in education and employment). I have a teenage son and he and his friends are starting to think about college. Needless to say, they are well aware that Loyola is an option (the best option!) for them.

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
Much to the chagrin of the people that sit outside my office, I am a head-banger. I am a huge fan of heavy metal and hard rock music. My favorite band of all time is Pantera. Although I have mellowed out over the years, I will always have a special place in my heart for a good old-fashioned mosh pit!
