Consultation groups
The School of Social Work Family School Partnership Consultation Groups, are led by school based mental health practitioners who meet the IDFPR requirements for LCSW or LCPC licensure.
The Groups will meet from 4:30-6:30 pm, after school hours, in order to be close to the workplace. Meetings are held every other week in Chicago and Suburban locations. The bi-monthly sessions run between September and May. Groups will start week of September 17, 2012 at various locations, to be determined. Application and deposit deadline September 4, 2012; payment plans are available.
[In the past group locations have included Chicago’s Hyde Park, Northwest side and Loyola’s Water Tower Campus. The various Suburban locations have included Evanston, Highland Park, Lombard and Naperville.]
These following areas will be covered in the CONSULTATION GROUPS
- Strength-based assessment and practice
- Evidence-based practice
- Resilience building
- Response to Intervention (3 tiered approaches)
- Meeting Social Emotional Learning goals
- Collaboration with home, school and community agencies
- Participants can earn 30.0 CEUs or CPDU equivalent
Cost: $ 1800 ; LUC MSW Alumni are Awarded a $ 300 scholarship.
Payment plans are available. Anyone seeking a payment plan will be invoiced for remaining balance.
A deposit of $450 due with registration, September 4th, 2012

Note: Space is limited. Acceptance criteria are based upon space and/or location limitations. A 25% deposit is required by September 4th, with an application along with a copy of transcripts or licensure. Payment plans are available.(See below for payment options)
