Annual Summer Institute on Aging; Family Mediation

2013 Summer Institute on Aging ~ Family Decision Making and the Use of Mediation Skills

  August 5-9th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

  Loyola University , Chicago

 Lewis Towers, Regents Hall; 16th floor ~ 111 E Pearson (next to Hershey’s store)

 A week long program consisting of two sessions:

 Facilitative mediation can help in many difficult family situations.

 Facilitative mediation can assist a family work together to resolve the difficult issues that arise over the course of a family's changing life stages to preserve relationships and yet make the challenging decisions they face.

Partial Mediation Sessions

Session I  {August 5th & 6th are full days; August 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.}

Basic Mediation Skills Training to provide the basic techniques needed to mediate disputes used participants in their current occupations.

Session II {August 7th from 1:30pm to 5:00pm, August 8th & 9th are full days}

Elder Mediation Skills Training to be applied to family decision making through a facilitative mediation process.
