This 3-day Summer Institute will combine a dynamic mixture of lecture, small-group learning, and panel discussions to help you become the best practitioner possible.
Whether you attend one session or all 3 days, you will return to your school practice with great ideas, practical tools to use, and a renewed sense of purpose for your work in schools. This year’s event will have a similar format each day with:
•Evidence-based practice presentations by Dr. Michael S. Kelly, Loyola Associate Professor, FSPP Director, and author of over 40 books, research articles, and book chapters on school mental health practice
•Practice wisdom from FSPP faculty who have decades of school mental health experience
•Hands-on demonstration of effective practices from innovative school mental health practitioners working in schools right now

Day 1/July 23rd ~ “Without Teacher Buy-In We’re Nowhere: Evidence-based Models of Teacher Consultation for At-risk Students” Note: This workshop fullfils the ISBE continuing education requirements on "Ethics."
Day 2 / July 24th ~ “Data Done Right: Writing Measurable Goals and Effective FBAs and BIPs”
Day 3 / July 25th ~ “RTI, PBIS, and OMG! How to Practice Successfully Across All Three Tiers in Your School”
