The School of Social Work welcomes your application year-round -- there are no application deadlines for the Master of Social Work and certificate programs. Also, it's possible to begin MSW studies during any of the University's three academic terms: Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters. Begin your application on-line today!

M.S.W. or Type 73 Certificate Program
To apply for admission to the M.S.W. or to the Type 73 Certificate programs, the following documents are required from domestic applicants:
- A completed admission application
- A $50 non-refundable application fee (fee waived for online application)
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended, showing an accredited bachelors degree
- Three letters of recommendation (at least one letter from a setting where the applicant has work or volunteer experience)
- A statement of purpose
- For those applying for advanced standing in the M.S.W. program, more details about requirements can be found here.
- Dual-degree applicants should adhere to the requirements listed above, as well as applying for admission to the additional program.
For international applicants, the following documents are required in addition to those listed above:
- TOEFL or IELTS scores
- A Declaration and Certification of Finances Form
- Evaluations of international transcripts by an outside credentialing service. Go to www.ece.org for information about this service and to download an application.
General Instructions for Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy Sector Program
To apply for admission to the Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy Sector program, the following documents are required from domestic applicants:
- A $50 application fee (fee waived for online application)
- A completed application form Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
- Three letters of recommendation (usually from references familiar with the applicant's academic or professional work)
- A statement of purpose describing academic interests and professional goals
For international applicants, the following documents are required in addition to those listed above:
- TOEFL or IELTS scores
- A Declaration and Certification of Finances Form
- Evaluations of international transcripts by an outside credentialing service. Go to www.ece.org for information about this service and to download an application.
General Instructions for Family and School Partnerships Program
Application Requirements: Applicants are required to possess a master's degree in any mental health or education-oriented field of practice.
For Tracks I and II:
- A $50 application fee (fee waived for online application)
- A completed application form
- Official transcripts of all or any graduate work
- Interview with the program's director (in person or by phone)
For Track III- Open Participation:
Above admission requirements are waived, except for the interview with program director (in person or by phone). Track III applicants should directly contact the School of Social Work for a registration form. Registration is through the School of Social Work.
For international applicants, the following documents are required in addition to those listed above:
- TOEFL or IELTS scores
- A Declaration and Certification of Finances Form
- Evaluations of international transcripts by an outside credentialing service. Go to www.ece.org for information about this service and to download an application.
