BSW Admission

We invite you to apply to the Bachelor of Social Work Program and join a community of students that have made the decision to pursue the gratifying world of social work and social welfare.

Admission Requirements

Freshman admission is centralized through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. All questions regarding freshman admission and admission criteria should be directed to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 312.915.6500 or by clicking here.

Incoming students may declare social work as their major on admission application. However formal admittance to the BSW program is made by application after students have completed SOWK 200, Introduction to Social Work and SOWK 201, Social Policy I with an overall grade point average of 2.5 and at least a B in these courses.

Prospective Student Resources

Campus Visits: Prospective students may schedule a campus tour and presentation through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.  More information about scheduling a visit can be found here.

School of Social Work: School of Social Work visits are arranged by appointment only through the School of Social Work by contacting our Academic Advising Coordinator, Yolanda Golden at ygolden@luc.edu.
