Jennelle Dronkers joins the School of Communication as Partnership Coordinator in Sept. 2012. She is working with the School of Education in coordinating Loyola University’s high school and youth program partnerships.
Originally from California, Jennelle moved with her family to Hawaii, Japan, and Florida. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English (Creative Writing) from Florida State University in 2004 and spent the following 3 years teaching English in Tokyo. In 2007 Jennelle moved to England, where she received a Masters in Journalism from Brunel University London.
The combination of her academic background and experiences of living abroad inspired Jennelle to pursue a career in higher education public relations. In 2008 she worked as an International Admissions Officer for Brunel University LIBT. A year later she was promoted to Marketing Manager, a position which often took her to the Far East and Latin America to recruit students from countries such as China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Colombia and Mexico. Jennelle most recently worked as a Marketing Consultant for Ravensbourne, a digital arts and media institution based in London.
Jennelle enjoys traveling, writing, watching all kinds of movies, and attempting to learn Mandarin. She is looking forward to making Chicago her new home and to enhancing her career in higher education at Loyola University Chicago.
