Admission Requirements

Education: For those applicants age 23 and over, a high school diploma or successful completion of the GED is required.

For those applicants under 23 years of age, the following is required:

  • A high school diploma or successful completion of the GED
  • Successful completion of a minimum of 24 hours of coursework from an accredited institution of higher education

Grade Point Average: A minimum GPA of 2.0 (out of a possible 4.0), earned at each post-secondary institution previously attended.

Work Experience: Some work experience (part or full time) is expected but not required. Applicants who are under the age of 23 or who have little to no work experience will be considered for admission based on the strength of their applications and their preparation to succeed as students in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

Application Requirements

  • A $25 application fee (fee waived for online application) 
  • A completed application form.
  • Official academic records from high school or the GED report and official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
  • A statement of purpose. A 350-500 word statement is required, double-spaced, typed.  The statement is to address reasons for seeking the BA in Management from Loyola University Chicago, as well as how the program will help you meet your educational, personal and career goals.
  • A TOEFL or IELTS score report is required for applicants who are non-native English speakers. For the TOEFL, a score of at least 213 on the computer-based test or 550 on the written test is required. The minimum score for the new TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test) is 79. For the IELTS, a minimum score of 6.5 is required.
    • International applicants, or U.S. applicants who studied abroad, are required to submit non-U.S. transcripts to an outside credential evaluation service. For the degree granting institution, the results of the evaluation must indicate that the non-U.S. credential is a U.S. bachelor's degree in order to be considered for admission to certificate programs.     Application Deadline

    Students may apply to begin any one of our five eight-week terms in August, October, January, March and June. Although admission is rolling, please allow a minimum of two weeks before the start of an eight-week session to ensure timely processing of the application.
