Community: Students
The Rome Center's annual undergraduate student enrollment during the academic year is close to 400, with students from nearly 40 different colleges. Full-year students number about 30-36, and single-semester students range from 125 in the Fall to 175 in the Spring term. In addition to hosting full-year and single-semester undergraduate students during the academic year, Loyola sponsors a variety of graduate and undergraduate summer programs.
Students that attend the Rome Center's programs are individuals who want to:- Acquire valuable international experience through a wide range of classes and extracurricular activities.
- Pursue peace and social justice through specially organized excursions to such far-flung destinations as Belfast, the Balkans and northern Africa.
- Participate in a 24-hour service-learning practicum in Rome while studying human rights in the Mediterranean region.
- As a full-year student, undertake an internship in Rome-based political, legal, commercial, human rights, non-profit or social-service settings.
- Interact with an Italian-speaking partner through the Rome Center's English Language School.
- Form lifelong friendships with students from other outstanding American colleges and universities.
- Join more than 13,000 loyal Rome Center alumni across the nation and around the world, who meet at the annual autumn reunion and network throughout the year.
