Transportation

Retreat buses: Most retreats will provide a bus or van option as a means to getting to Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus (LUREC).

Public Transportation: Should you need to arrive late to a retreat, it is possible to get to LUREC via public transportation. This will require you to let someone at LUREC know so they can pick you up at the train station. The best method of this transit is:

Take the El to Ogilvie Transportation Center downtown. Once at Ogilvie, you are looking for the Union Pacific/Northwest Line. Take the train to the Crystal Lake station. At this point, you will need a ride to LUREC.

Driving: Should you need to drive yourself to LUREC, the address is:

2710 S. Country Club Rd, Woodstock, IL 60098

The quickest route we have found thus far is to take I-90 West to Rt. 31 North for approximately 7.5 miles. Turn LEFT on Algonquin for 1 mile. Turn RIGHT on Pyott for 3.7 miles. Turn LEFT on Rt. 14 (NW Highway) for 2.7 miles. Turn RIGHT on Ridgefield for 1.3 miles. Turn RIGHT at the stop sign onto Country Club Rd. LUREC will be 1.5 miles down the road on the RIGHT.
