This building is named after Spring Hill College. Spring Hill College is a private Jesuit institution that is located Mobile, Alabama. Spring Hill College was established in 1830 and was founded by Bishop Michael Porier. More than 1400 students study at Spring Hill College, with 70% of the population coming from outside of Alabama. The motto of Spring Hill College is “A spring of wisdom is he who has lifted up on the hill”.

Spring Hill hall was remodeled in 2009 and is part of the South Side Winthrop Apartment area. Each room has a bathroom and a kitchenette (with a refrigerator and small stove). All rooms have cable television capabilities and high speed wireless/wired internet options. Parking is available to residents to those who apply for and pay for a permit through Campus Transportation. There is a laundry room on the first floor.
