Operations Management
Every organization makes a product or provides a service. Most organizations work together with a network of other manufacturers and service providers through supply chains. Operations management involves managing organizations' supply chains to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage by providing quality products, outstanding customer service, and effective cost control.
The Quinlan School of Business' BBA in Operations Management degree program is unique in that it teaches students to make managerial decisions and cope with the problems of public and private industry, and, at the same time, allows specialization in operations management.

In addition to Core Curriculum and Business Core Curriculum requirements, students pursuing the BBA degree in operations management must complete 15 hours of operations management courses:
At least three of the following:
- OPMG 337. Fundamentals of Lean Production
- OPMG 338. Logistics in the Global Economy
- OPMG 339. Sports Facility Management and Operations
- OPMG 341. Quality Management and Continuous Improvement
- OPMG 383. Management of Service Operations
No more than two of the following:
- INFS 347. Systems Analysis and Design
- ISOM 349. Project Management
- ISOM 393. Requirements Analysis and Communication
- OPMG 395. Independent Study
- OPMG 399. Selected Topics in Operations Management
Important Details:
At the discretion of the Quinlan School of Business assistant dean, a maximum of one transfer course, taken prior to matriculating at Loyola University Chicago, may be allowed. A 2.0 average GPA is required for all attempted business courses. Quinlan students are limited to double dipping one course between majors/minors, while non-Quinlan students are limited to double dipping two courses between business school minors.
