"The Loyola’s Master’s Degree program in Human Resources is extremely beneficial to anyone contemplating pursuing a Human Resources career. The role of the Human Resource professional is transitioning from “administrator” to gaining a seat at the CEO’s table and providing guidance and insight on strategic planning and staffing, organizational design and development and implementing change, to name a few. The courses at Loyola helped to provide me with the tools I needed to provide Human Resources consulting services to our 1,500 state and local Association Executives."
—Donna Garcia, '03, Director, Human Resource Services, National Association of Realtors®
Fifteen years after receiving my undergraduate degree, I decided to return to school to obtain a Master’s Degree in Human Resources, with a concentration in Organization Development. Loyola University Chicago provided me with an excellent and comprehensive education: labor relations, compensation and benefits, talent management, process consultation, and many other areas I studied, enabled me to effectively manage a Training and Development function for a global company. The professors are well established in their fields of study, passionate about their area of expertise, approachable, and take students’ learning seriously. Not all universities have the caliber of teaching staff that Loyola’s MSHR program is fortunate enough to employ. I attribute a great deal of my professional success to the quality education and skills I received from Loyola.
