Quinlan School of Business

The Building Fund

We appreciate your support of the Quinlan School of Business. Each ticket and/or table purchase directly supports The Building Fund. The Building Fund has been created to establish a state-of-the-art facility of which our students, faculty, employers, and alumni can be proud.

The proposed design of the new Quinlan School of Business building has three guiding principles:

Transparency. This is a key philosophy of the building—transparency in and out. From the street, passersby should be able to see into the building and observe a hive of activity. From inside, visitors should be constantly reminded of their location in an urban center.

Connectivity. Elements of the building’s design will foster interaction between students and instructors, an intentional learning connection in and outside of the classroom.

Community. The use of “learning neighborhoods”—plentiful meeting rooms, stairways, and social gathering spaces—will encourage communication and collaboration to build small, self-contained communities of learning.

The building will take advantage of current green technology, thereby preserving natural resources, setting an example for others, and operating more efficiently and effectively.

We will continue to educate the next generation of business leaders in a collaborative, interdisciplinary fashion that encourages our graduates to remain true to themselves and our strong Jesuit values of service and responsible leadership.
