Gezinus Hidding, PhD

Associate Professor

Gezinus Hidding is Associate Professor of Information Systems.  Hidding received the Quinlan School of Business's “Teaching Innovation Award” in 2001 and was honored as “Faculty Member of the Year” in 2002. Dr. Hidding has authored more than twenty esteemed publications and has presented to executive audiences in the US, Europe and Japan.  He joined the faculty of Loyola University Chicago in 1996 after a 10-year career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).  He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of verhuur.nl, an Easy2Find company, in the Netherlands and Founder and CEO of YouRentIt.com.  Hidding has also served on the Board of Advisers of various Chicago-based technology startups and is listed in Who's Who in America. Hidding has consulted with several international organizations regarding Strategic Use of IT, Systems Development Methods, and Knowledge Management. Dr. Hidding has founded and led a group of project management professionals in an initiative called "Value Driven Change Leadership”.

He received his M.Sc. and PhD in Information Systems from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration of Carnegie Mellon University. Born and raised in the Netherlands, he received a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Econometrics from the University of Groningen.  His teaching and research interests include Strategic Use of Information Technology and Project Management.
