Joseph Cherian, PhD
Joseph Cherian teaches strategy, marketing, and change management for Loyola University Chicago Executive Education. He earned his Doctorate in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin with a dissertation on the influence of corporate culture on the adoption of innovation in hospitals. Cherian’s research focuses on consumer behavior, an area for which he is nationally known and widely respected. He is also nationally recognized for his study into how organizational culture impacts the adoption of innovation.
Professor Cherian has published numerous articles in such journals as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Contemporary Accounting Research, Psychology and Marketing, Marketing Letters, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Retailing, Research in Marketing, Journal of Socio-Economics, and Journal of Accounting and Public Policy. Dr. Cherian has conducted training sessions and consulted with large corporations as well as non-profit and health care organizations.
