CREATING A HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAM
A key aspect of leadership is how one builds and manages one’s team. This area will cover characteristics of high-performing teams, motivation, performance management and evaluation, recruiting, on-boarding processes, and mentoring. It will also provide tips for giving meaningful and actionable feedback, and how to coach members of one’s team to outstanding performance. Participants will also discuss how trust, interaction, accountability, and feedback impact team performance; how one builds and re-builds trust; and how to develop beneficial affiliations. Team-building exercises will be used to strengthen the cohesion of the team and each exercise will be fully debriefed to uncover how different actions impact trust, accountability, collaboration, and overall team performance.
