CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR 2014-2015

The Center for International Business (CIB) and Center for Social Enterprise and Responsibility (CSER) are soliciting collaborative, interdisciplinary proposals for research on issues related to international business, social enterprise and corporate responsibility from LUC full-time faculty.

We invite proposals involving two or more researchers for consideration by our panel of judges. The two Centers will provide a $6,000 grant for the selected research proposal for 12 months, starting March 15, 2014 and ending in March 15, 2015. Part of the funds will be released after July 1, 2014. Furthermore, research papers generated from the accepted proposal will appear as working papers on the CIB and CSER websites and may be published as a monograph by the Quinlan School of Business (QSB). The funded researchers will be invited to present to the Loyola University Chicago community in the Spring 2015.  The rights to research and publications will remain with the researchers.

Proposal should address issues of social responsibility or social enterprise in international business in the 21st century.  We encourage a) interdisciplinary proposals, linking faculty across departments and campuses in collaborative partnerships, b) proposals which involve QSB faculty and students, and c) proposals which demonstrate that this seed grant will be used to apply for future external grants under one of the Centers.  The grant monies can be used only for itemized expenses.
