BCS Frequently Asked Questions
1) How do I create an account in RamblerLink?
To create an account, please click here and choose "Student." If you are a current student, or graduated as far back as December 2009, please login using your Loyola ID and password. If you are an alumni with a graduation date prior to December 2009, please register for a new account.
2) What is available in RamblerLink?
RamblerLink is our main resource for all your career needs. RamblerLink contains job postings, announcements, schedule of upcoming events, and links to career resources. To see a user guide, please click this link: RamblerLinkStudentUserGuide.pdf.
3) Does BCS have walk-in advising hours?
Yes. Our walk-in hours are Monday-Wednesday from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. and Thursday-Friday 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Walk-ins are able to get help with resumes, cover letters, and quick career tips or questions. A walk-in will last 10 to 15 minutes. If you need more time than that, please make an appointment with one of our career advisors.
4) How do I make an appointment with a career advisor?
To schedule an appointment, please login to RamblerLink, click on Calendar, Counseling Appointment, and then New Appointment. Following the instruction, you will be able to choose location, counselor, length, date and time, and submit your request of the appointment. Arrive at Business Career Services 5 minutes earlier and bring your Student ID for check-in. Please be prepared with questions and print out resumes if necessary.
5) How often do you have career fairs on campus?
Currently, BCS hosts two career fairs; one in the fall and one in the spring. To RSVP, please log in to RamblerLink, choose events, and select the fair you would like to attend.
6) Does BCS provide any other events besides Career Fairs?
Throughout the year, we also offer workshops, information sessions with employers, and networking opportunities. To check for upcoming events, please visit RamblerLink and choose "Events."
