My parents, who taught my two sisters and me the importance of hard work and education.

A strong sense of ethics, willingness to take risks, and strong communication skills.

Which qualities do you dislike?
Dishonesty.

What is the best advice you can offer to young women and men as they start their careers?
To seek out mentors, coaches, and sponsors who can provide counsel and guidance as you navigate through your career.

Your top three networking tips?

  1. At social events, ask how you can help the other person first.
  2. At networking events, wear a jacket with pockets. Have your business cards in one and collect other attendees' cards in the other.
  3. If an attendee list is distributed ahead of time, do research on attendees and prioritize who you want to meet and what you plan to say/ask.
