Dr. Udo joined Loyola in 1996 as Adjunct Instructor of Physics. In Spring 1997, she was invited to join the Physics Department as a full-time faculty member. At Loyola, Dr. Udo currently teaches Astronomy and College Physics.

Dr. Udo has a strong record of publication in prestigious refereed research journals. She is an experimental solid state physicist, specializing in ultrasmall and ultrafast optical systems, with applications for communications and computing technology. Her research collaborations include the Department of Electrical Engineering at Northwestern University, where she has held recent appointments as Post-Doctoral Fellow and Research Associate.
