Alumni

Welcome to the Institute for Paralegal Studies' Alumni Page.

This page will be updated regularly with items of special interest to our alumni. We welcome all advice about how this page could be enhanced in the months and years ahead. Best wishes to all our alumni!

Update Us

We very much want to keep in contact with our alumni and to be updated on wherever your lives and careers may have taken you. If your contact information has changed please send us your updated information via email to paralegal@luc.edu.

Continuum (Continuing education)

Continuum is Loyola's School of Continuing and Professional Studies' continuing education program. Continuum offers several Paralegal Studies seminars throughout the academic year. Visit the Continuum website for further details about current classes. These classes are continuing education courses only and are not offered through the Institute for Paralegal Studies.

Completing Additional Coursework

Alumni interested in taking additional paralegal studies courses offered through the Institute, must complete an application as a Non-Degree seeking student. It is not necessary that Alumni submit anything beyond the application, as we have all other materials from your previous admissions process. Non-Degree students are not eligible to receive financial aid and will be charged Non-Degree tuition.

Once admitted, all registration for alumni is done through the Institute Office. After submitting your application, please send an email to the Institute Office (paralegal@luc.edu) to inform us of which class(es) you will be taking.

Alumni only need to submit the non-degree application once.

Career Assistance

Be sure to check out the Employment Assistance section of our website to learn what resources are available to alumni.

Transcript

Official transcripts are requested from the Office of Registration and Records.

In addition to coursework, the transcript will indicate the receipt of a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and the date the certificate was awarded.

In Fall of 2004 Loyola made some record keeping changes. Because of these changes the records for thos who attended classes both before and after the Fall 04 semester are listed in separate academic "careers". If your paralegal studies classes are listed under more than one academic career on your transcript, the calculation of your cumulative GPA will be affected.

The correction of this misstatement is an ongoing process. A letter which provides the correct cumulative GPA can be provided upon request. Please provide your full name (name at time of graduation) and date of graduation.

Alumni Services and Resources (University Alumni Association)

Not all former students have records maintained in the University's alumni database, and some alumni benefits and communications only apply to graduates who are alumni. Further information regarding services and resources available to alumni can be reviewed on the Alumni Association website.
