Tuition & Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office is committed to helping students secure the necessary financial resources to make their education at Loyola affordable. Students must be enrolled in the paralegal certificate program, meet normal admission standards, and apply for other financial assistance through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Financing Your Education

2014-2015 Tuition and Fees



Post-baccalaureate students are not eligible for grant assistance. These students may apply for the subsidized and/or unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans. You may also apply for outside scholarships.

Students in an undergraduate degree program are eligible to receive undergraduate aid and may be eligible for federal loans as well as grants. You may also qualify for scholarship opportunities through the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS). Click here to learn more.

Non-degree seeking students are not eligible to receive financial aid.

Federal Student Aid

Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Loyola’s list code #001710. There is no fee to file the FAFSA. For purposes of financial aid for post-baccalaureate students, the paralegal program is considered a professional program.

The submission of the FAFSA, Student Aid Report (SAR), and program admission completes your application for financial aid. Once the Office for Student Financial Assistance has reviewed your complete package your award letter regarding your aid package will be sent to you.


While Loyola does not offer any paralegal scholarships at the present time, scholarship opportunities are available each year through various paralegal and bar groups, as listed below. Please note the application deadlines may be different than the application program deadlines. We also encourage you to do your own search for additional scholarship opportunities.

American Association for Paralegal Education (AAFPE) Scholarship

Application Deadline: February of each year
Amount: $500
Five scholarships are awarded nationally.

National Federation of Paralegal Associations West Group Scholarship

Application Deadline: July; 3 mos. prior to the NFPA Annual Convention typically held in October.

Amount: $3000 and $2000
Two scholarships are awarded annually.
