Program Areas

Ms. Novy has been teaching Legal Research & Writing I and II at Loyola since 2010.

Professional & Community Affiliations

Ms. Novy has been an Assistant State's Attorney in Cook County for the past ten years.  She has drafted and argued appellate briefs in the First District Court of Appeals, as well as tried cases in the Child Protection, Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Divisions.  These experiences have helped Ms. Novy develop a breadth of knowledge of both criminal and civil legal research and writing.  She is currently assigned to the Criminal Division of the State’s Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Novy has held bar memberships in the Chicago Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association, and Illinois Bar Association.  Ms. Novy has been affiliated, in a volunteer capacity, with both Misericordia (a Chicago continuum of care for people with disabilities) and the Center for Disability and Elder Law.
