Career Assistance

The staff and faculty at the Institute for Paralegal Studies work hard to prepare students for their career search and for their new career.

One-on-One Assistance

‌Institute staff members frequently meet individually with students and alumni regarding their paralegal job search. Resume revision, cover letters, interviewing, and online search tips are the types of things you can expect to receive assistance with.

Resume Assistance

Beginning within their first class and extending through individual placement appointments, students are given the tools to write resumes emphasizing the skills legal employers expect of paralegals.

The Institute also maintains an electronic bank of resumes for distribution to interested employers. Students and alumni can submit their resumes to the office at any time for inclusion in this bank.

Job Board Access

Institute students and alumni have exclusive access to our password-protected job board. Students may also use Ramberlink, the University-wide job board.

Interview Preparation

‌We devote an entire month to offering mock interviews for those students who are interested in practicing their interviewing skills and in receiving a critical assessment of these skills.

‌During an individual placement appointment, Institute staff members provide assistance with interviewing techniques for students and alumni.‌‌
