Orientation

Program Information

Program Hours

All transfer students are required to attend the entire program and cannot leave early. Parents and guest, please refer to our Parent's site for your own optional program.

Hours: 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Check-In Time & Location

Check-in runs 8:30–9:00 a.m. in the Sullivan Center Lobby. Students will receive their personalized schedules as well as parking validation at this time.

Students taking the Math Placement Assessment prior to Orientation will begin the Math Placement Assessment at 7:30 a.m.

What To Bring

At Check-In, we will provide you with a pen, water bottle, your personalized schedule, and a bag to keep all of your orientation materials together. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing (many people prefer to bring along a sweatshirt since the buildings get cool in the summer!), comfortable shoes, and a small snack. You can also bring along any immunization paperwork to give to the Wellness Center at the Resource Fair.

Parking

The Parking Structure (P on the map) is located at the corner of Sheridan Road and Winthrop Avenue (the entrance to this structure is off the campus drive, accessed from the light at Sheridan Road and Kenmore Avenue). Upon checking in at Orientation, you can request parking validation.

Orientation Fee

The First-Year Program Fee is $125 per student. The fee includes all materials, food, and two guest passes for the day-long program and funds several key programs throughout the student's first year at Loyola. The First-Year Program Fee is applied directly to the student's tuition account.
