For new students, Orientation is the perfect way to catch a glimpse of life at Loyola.

Loyola University Chicago Orientation

The entire Loyola community is excited to welcome you to campus for Loyola University Chicago Orientation (LUCO)!

First-year and Transfer students, Orientation will be your first opportunity to connect with your future classmates and begin building community at Loyola. Family and guests, Orientation will serve as a time for you to learn about your student's future academic and developmental growth.

At Orientation, students will learn how to navigate the many resources and services in place to assist them with their academic careers, meet with an academic advisor, and register for their classes. LUCO will introduce students to the values and traditions that will enrich their Loyola Experience from now through graduation. In order to best prepare for Orientation, please review our Before Orientation page.

Registration for Summer 2024 LUCOs will be available through your student portal starting on Monday, May 6th (time TBD). First-year students will be able to sign up for one of the following orientation dates:

  • June 3-4
  • June 6-7
  • June 10-11
  • June 13-14
  • June 17-18
  • June 24-25
  • June 27-28
  • July 1-2
  • July 8-9

Transfer students will be able to sign up for one of the following dates:

  • June 5
  • July 12
  • August 16

Graduate and professional students can refer to their school's direct website for more information on program-specific orientations.
