Oncology Advanced Practice Nursing
MSN (CNS) in Oncology Advanced Practice Nursing: The Oncology program's educational and clinical opportunities are focused across the cancer care continuum (genetic screening, primary prevention, acute care and palliative care). CNS specialty track students can complete all course work online. Clinical practicum is required.
Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) students complete the MSN program and then sit for the appropriate national certification exam. Upon passing that exam, graduates apply to their state board for advanced practice licensure; requirements for APN licensure vary state by state across the US.
The U.S. Department of Education requires any institution offering distance education/online programs to students outside of its home state to acquire authorization from the states in which students reside.
