Teaching Interests

I teach courses in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, in both face-to-face and online formats.  As a practicing clinician with decades of experience in the care of adult patients; national certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing; and as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, I am especially interested in teaching students about caring for adult patients and their families across disease trajectories and practice settings.

Courses Taught 2015-2016

GNUR 102 Introduction to Professional Nursing
GNUR 471 Palliative Care

Research/Scholarly Interests and Selected Publications

My research and scholarly interests include the education about, and provision of, palliative care to patients and families.   I have conducted grant-funded research investigations; published extensively; and presented at regional, national, and international conferences on this topic.
