Journal

Submission Guidelines

If you would like to submit an essay, send an electronic copy to the M/MLA office at mmla@luc.edu. Papers should follow the MLA Style Manual, 3rd edition (2008). To ensure that the Journal is accessible to the broad membership, essays should be in English and, when text in another language is quoted, translations in English should be provided. PMLA is a useful source for examples of how to provide translations in MLA style.

Preparation of Copy
  1. All submissions must conform to the MLA Style Manual, 3rd edition (the 2008 edition is preferable, although the 1998 edition is acceptable).

  5. All references must include the names of publishers, places of publication, the full names and a complete listing of translators and editors.
  6. All article and book review submissions must be sent electronically via e-mail as Microsoft Word 97 files to mmla@luc.edu.
  7. All articles must be written in English.
