Convention

St. Louis 2009

The 51st Annual Convention will be held in St. Louis, Missouri from November 12-15, 2009 at the St. Louis Union Station Marriott hotel. The 2009 informal convention theme is "Migration." This year's convention will include:

  • Over 400 Presentations
  • Professionalizing Workshops
  • Live Theatrical Performances
  • Film Screenings
  • Book Exhibit
  • Keynote Address by Professor Cary Wolfe, Rice University, Houston, Texas

Registering for the Convention

All attendees must be members of the association to attend the convention. The deadline for pre-registration is Friday, October 30, 2009. After October 30th, on-site registration will be necessary. Membership and registration can be completed via mail using the membership and registration forms or online for a surcharge through an outside vendor.

 

 

NOTE: A convenience fee is charged when using the third-party vendor, Acteva, for online registration.

Registration Fees

The registration fees for the 51st Annual Convention in St. Louis are as follows:

  • Regular Registration (includes up to 12 complimentary papers): $60.00 - Before October 30th
  • Special Registration (includes 0 papers): $30.00 - Before October 30th

NOTE: Special registration is for students, part-time, unemployed or retired membes only; papers may be purchased only at the meeting.

On-site Registration

On-site registration becomes effective after October 30th. Online registration and registration via the U.S mail will not be accepted. The on-site registration fees are as follows:

  • Regular Registration (includes up to 12 complimentary papers): $85.00 - After October 30th and on-site
  • Special Registration (includes 0 papers): $45.00 - After October 30th and on-site

NOTE: Special registration is for students, part-time, unemployed or retired membes only; papers may be purchased only at the meeting.

IMPORTANT: Any registration forms received after October 30th will not be accepted and the funds will be returned.
