Erica Chu has been the Editorial and Program Assistant for the M/MLA since September of 2011 and as such is responsible for managing the book review process and providing administrative support for the association’s annual convention.

Erica is a doctoral candidate in English at Loyola University Chicago, with research interests in feminist and gender theory, postcolonial literature, and contemporary literature of the Americas.  They are currently writing a dissertation on contemporary transnational literature and identity positivity, a theoretical approach that stands in contrast to multiculturalist and post-identitarian approaches to identity.
