In May 2009, Bernadette Steele became the Associate Director of the Midwest Modern Language Association. As the Associate Director, Ms. Steele serves as the Program Manager for the Association and the Managing Editor for The Journal of the Midwest Modern Language Association. The Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association including managing the Association's membership files, annual convention and website. The Managing Editor is responsible for managing the editing and publication of The Journal of the Midwest Modern Language Association.
Ms. Steele received her Master of Science degree in Technical Communication and Information Design from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2003. She has over 15 years of diverse experience in administrative support, project management, technical writing, editing, and website design. In 2008, her first novel, The Poetry of Murder, was published. She is currently working on her PhD in Technical Communication at the Illinois Institute of Technology and her second novel.
