This is a good detailed overview of transportation from O'Hare, and this is general ground transportation information. There are three main ways to get from O'Hare to the Talbott: taxi, shuttle, and public transportation. The best way may be taking public transportation to the Loop, then a taxi to the hotel.

Public transportation and taxi: Take Blue line "L" train from O'Hare to Chicago stop ($2.25; see "Public transportation" below), then take short taxi ride to hotel (approximately $6-$8, including tip).

Taxi: Chicago taxi fare estimator - Definitely the fastest way to go, but also most expensive, at approximately $45 - $50, including tip.

Shuttle: Go Airport Express - Less expensive (approximately $32-$35 one way, including tip), but may be the slowest way to get to the hotel (varies a lot in how long it takes, depending on traffic and on the number of passengers and their destinations).

Public transportation: Chicago "L" - Cheap ($2.50); take Blue line train from O'Hare to Monroe stop; walk to Michigan Avenue; take one of the many buses going north on Michigan Avenue, and get off at Delaware. Note that you will need to buy a CTA transit card at one of the vending machines at O'Hare before you get on the train. Some machines take cash (but give no change), other machines take credit cards. With the transit card, the train will cost $2.25 and the bus you transfer to will cost 25¢. You can also buy passes that give you unlimited rides over a certain number of days.
