Dr. Greicius did his undergraduate work at Columbia University, New York and received his Ph. D. in mathematics from U.C. Berkeley in 2007, where he worked under the supervision of Bjorn Poonen. From 2008-2011 he held a German Research Foundation (DFG) research postdoc at Humboldt-Universität in Berlin, Germany. His research interests lie within number theory and arithmetic geometry. In particular he is interested in families of l-adic Galois representations arising from abelian varieties and modular curves. Dr. Greicius joined the faculty at Loyola University Chicago in 2011.
