Professor Doyle joined Loyola as associate professor of law and director of the law library in 1978 after holding the position of head reference librarian at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. His broad library experience included tenure as the law librarian for the Middlesex County (Massachusetts) Law Library Association and reference librarian at Harvard Law School. In addition to his administrative duties, he supervised and taught the legal research instruction for entering law students and taught a seminar in advanced legal research.
