About

Anshuman is a criminal prosecutor with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, specializing in white-collar crime and tax evasion. Anshuman oversees grand jury investigations and criminal prosecutions throughout the state and serves as counsel to the Illinois Department of Revenue.  He also handles cases involving multi-million dollar bank fraud schemes, corporate embezzlement, organized crime, murder, and economic crimes perpetrated against the State of Illinois or the United States Government.  In addition, Anshuman has litigated complex civil actions on behalf of the People of Illinois to enjoin unfair and deceptive business practices and obtain restitution and disgorgement of illegal profits.

Anshuman has also served as a guest lecturer in Eastern Europe, teaching graduate level criminal law classes in Kharkiv, Ukraine and Wroclaw, Poland.  Anshuman joined Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s Legal Writing Department in 2013.
